Friday, July 10th, 2009

Fish_HooksFish hook is the equipment used to catch a fish. A fact that you must know about this little piece of equipment is that it has been enlisted by Forbes in 2005 as one of the most used tool by man. There are different kinds, shapes, sizes and materials that are used to create fish hooks and this depends on what kind of fish a man wants to catch.

Each fish hook is intended for a specific purpose and manufacturers just give each hook a name and model. The shape of the hook ranges from straight to different kinds of curves, offset, bends and kinks. The shape of the hook will help greatly in snagging a fish. Fish hooks are also designed either as single, double and treble hooks.

A single hook is composed of a single-eye, point and shank. A double hook is created from a single piece of wire and may have shanks that are brazed together for more durability.
